Ricky's Birthday, :-)

Called Ricky, a very special friend of blogger.

It was third week of October in 1998, Ricky was barely 2 months past 21 years old when blogger met him. Very tall and good-looking, he looked very enthusiastic with his sparkling eyes and brilliant smile. In that preliminarily period of this special friendship, he was totally shinning and pleasing. Working in a friend’s restaurant as waiters, and perhaps as arrangement by kismet, theirs acquaintance quickly, or naturally, crystallized into in a distant future unknown to them a great friendship, a special bond between two brothers.
The brotherly bond between this 37 years old man and one 21 years young precocious man has taken a very bumpy path and 15 years to become what it is today, unshakably firm. Many obstacles have tried to hinder but fail. Many tough times have critically tested but each examination passed. The worst is not forgotten while the best makes a pleasant relish. The best recalls reminding the worst it is sweeter after. The bitterness of worst is always sweetened by relishing the best.
Is there ever a perfect relationship that never rocks in the slightest? Perhaps, sometimes there is no need to be forgiving or forgiven, there is a need to know something or someone is really true. How to waive a person out of his life when a bond is already long established and embedded?
This is a self-discourse of blogger's friendship to his friend Ricky. The blogger just want to inform Ricky that he will not, cannot waive a friendship like interests of a bank. The blogger carries deeply in him a bond that can never be severed; informs Ricky who has helped building muscles to the blogger's core of values and beliefs.
Today, the blogger wishes him this critical turning point that will bring him greater happiness and inner peace; favor him with needed strength and will; and Ricky still looks great and fabulous. Do not act it but be it; and always flash your smile.
